I'm sure I missed something obvious but I am finally getting to level 3. I imagine I let some actions pass away into the night but it mostly consist me roaming around trying to find little beasties to kill. Boars roll me easily and deer even occasionally get me.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should have done?

ah that was one I didn't think of. I kept expecting to meet them again, you know to complete the quest.
Do the quest for the spear, that should help. Also, if you get loot from things, try different crafting ideas. They are the biggest commodity in the game at the moment. For instance, if you found out how to make the latest recipe, I would pay you huge amounts of items and cash.
Think outside the square, and always use the terrain to your benefit. I was hunting spencers from level 3 to almost level 6.
the spear? I think I missed that. I'll see what I can find.
I don't think I have succeeded with the terrain, I'll play with that some more.
I haven't done much with crafting but I will play.
