Topic: [Change] Death. Please all of you read and comment.
Today ingame, I was talking to Erryn regarding death. Currently there isn't much of a penalty for dying, which seems fairly un-realistic. Below is a post of our conversation. We would like some feedback, so please, feel free to comment. Remember, if you like not having a penalty, speak out or it could be changed ![]()
Phreak: I think my next major suggestion will be a "Wounded" effect
Phreak: So after you die, there's a penalty
[Brother Erryn]: Yeah? What would that do?
Phreak: Dunno yet.
Phreak: Maybe 1/2 damage for X moves
Phreak: Where X is the amount of times you've died since the last NiMROD +2
Phreak: Or something like that...
[Brother Erryn]: So you're thinking Wounded cuts your damage in half.
Phreak: At the moment
[Brother Erryn]: I'll have to think about that.
[Brother Erryn]: I can do something like that.
Phreak: Either that or 1/2 tox from the next couple of battles
Phreak: Just because at the moment, if I fill up on loot, the best way for me to get home and sell that loot is to die
Phreak: The only penalty is the 3 actions I loose for healing
[Brother Erryn]: But wouldn't you expect to have "Wounded" removed by the monks when you're healing right after that?
Phreak: Well, yea.
Phreak: That's why I'm still mulling it over.
Phreak: Doe the "Wait for a monk" button currently use an action?
[Brother Erryn]: I don't remember.
Phreak: Maybe it could use 5 actions to wait for a monk, or 1 action with a 25% chance for a monk to actually turn up. Or X actions/bits for the monk to turn up, where X is effected by the number of deaths since last NiMROD
[Brother Erryn]: You could do "Concussion" instead of wound, so it would logically just have to wear off.
Any ideas taken into consideration.
